Customer Reviews

No complaints here

I've owned a few,and mounted several for customers. The mounting kits and instructions are the best I've come accross. Ive only ever had problems with one winch, that was past its warranty and to be honest abused by the owner. but I called the cust service number and was able to buy just the parts I needed, and it showed up the next day. This saved the customer hundreds of dollars. great product, backed by a great company, and on top of it it's an american company. very highly recommended!

2004 Sportsman mount

I ordered the 3,000 lb winch for my 2004 Sportsman 500 HO along with the mount. I was impressed with everything about the experience and the products including the directions and how it fit. As much as I was excited to have the winch I was not looking forward to mounting it on an older machine. I had blocked off all day and expected to make a trip or two to the hardware store. In the end it took a couple of hours and I had everything I needed. Given that I had the whole day blocked off and only needed a couple of hours I rewarded myself with a nice ride and ended up getting stuck. I put the winch through a "real" test within an hour of hooking it up and it was awesome!! I had a laugh later when I was putting the mounting instructions away and noticed that the final step was to "get stuck" or something to that effect

A3000 Installation

The winch kit, along with the mounting plate for my 2004 Honda Foreman-S; was the perfect fit. The winch fit perfect with no modifications. The included wiring was ideal, but required a little head scratching when it came to routing the wiring for the contactor. Instructions said to find a " clean/ dry" place. I thought maybe the air filter box, but its too big for that, so I mounted it in the rear storage box. All the wiring was the perfect lengh for this. Installation was a snap, and the kit was compleate with everything needed. The unit operates as one would expect from a 3000# winch pulling a 650# 4-wheeler. My Honda has a lift-kit, but had no bearing on the winch installation. An excellent winch at an exceptional price. J.Denio

I like it

I have to say that it was relatively easy to install and everything works really well. Me and a friend of mine both ordered the A3000 winches for our Yamaha Grizzly's. The mount fit very well and the winch and all the electrics with it were very easy to get wired and fitted into place on my Yamaha 700 Grizzly. On my friends 450 it was a little tighter to get in but it did go and it works very well also. On our first trial use we decided to go out to deep snow and see what we could do to help each other out of stuck situations. It is kind of fun to go and see how stuck you can get before you use the winch to get yourself out. On the first several times I got stuck my buddy hooked on to me and pulled me free very easily. Then it was my turn. He would go first and get himself stuck and then I could use my winch to pull him out. The first time I used mine we noticed that the cable had a 180 degree bend in it about 3/4 of the way out. I had never seen anything like it. It was like someone had started winding it up one way then decided to change direction and wind it up the other way. We took it out all the way to see if there was anything else but the rest of it was fine. As we were letting it back in I tried to straighten it out but there was a definite permanent kink in it. I called the company right away and they were right on top of it. I got instant service and a new cable was shipped to me immediately. The customer service was first class and the parts they sent were the best made that I have seen. This mounting plate is better than all the rest I've seen on friends machines. I would definitely buy this winch again. It is strong and can easily pull the weight of anyone else stuck or yourself. We also have pulled larger trees that have fallen off of trails that are too big to move by hand. The winches are dependable and powerful and best of all affordable. We got 2 winches cheaper than what several name brand models charge for 1 of theirs. We can't see any differences in manufacture quality or power specifications. Great winch, Don't be afraid of the cheap price. It has the best value out there from what I've seen and is just as good as the higher priced ones. I'll get off my little soap box now. Enjoy with confidence.
